Since it's connected to Disaster Level "God", I'll name it... Monster Calamity God Fist. No, wait. Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist. In order to dominate this world as the "Absolute Evil" and beat down humanity into an abyss of despair... Something as unreliable as "God" shall be crushed by my hand as well!
— Garou introducing Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist[1]

Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist (かいがいしんさつけん, Kaigai Shinsatsu-ken; Viz: Killing God Fist of Monster Destruction) is a fighting style created by Garou in his evolved state.

Overview[]

Garou combines the various fighting styles he's learned throughout his many battles, creating a single style of combat.[3] He claims it possesses no weak spots and is of "Disaster Level God".[4]

Upon wielding Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist for the first time, Garou was able to instantly repel both Flashy Flash and Platinum Sperm, the former being a powerful S-Class hero while the latter was an extremely powerful Mysterious Being.[5] Later on, utilizing this formidable style, he was able to pressure and harm Sage Centipede, an incredibly large and powerful Mysterious Being, causing the monster to remark on his insane strength. Garou describes this fighting style as his fists "striking fear into God".[6]

In the climax of the fight against Sage Centipede, Garou, with a single karate chop, was capable of slicing the gigantic centipede in half all the way from space to the surface, having perfected his style in the process.[7] When fighting Saitama, by using this style in conjunction with his amazing observation skills,[8] Garou can anticipate, dodge and even counter some of the hero's attacks with great precision, something that somewhat impresses the Caped Baldy.[9]

While battling Garou on Io, Saitama, after copying Garou's moves, utilized a hand chop on him, which was recognised by Garou himself as one of his martial arts techniques within Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist, making Saitama the second user of this unique fighting style.[10]

After being defeated by Saitama and subsequently having his divine powers from "God" disappear, Garou is currently unable to use this style due to having forgotten all of the secrets awakened in him since turning into a monster.[11]

In the original webcomic, using this powerful style, Garou could toy with several S-Class heroes, even deflecting Atomic Samurai's Atomic Slash, which is a sword technique capable of unleashing over 100 slashes in an instant.[12]

List of Styles Absorbed[]

As explained by Garou,[13] there are 11 main fighting styles that make up the Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist (12 in the original webcomic[14]):

  • Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist (りゅうすいがんさいけん, Ryūsui Gansai-ken; Viz: Fist of Flowing Water, Crushed Rock)
  • Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist (せんぷうてつざんけん, Senpū Tetsuzan-ken; Viz: Fist of Whirling Wind, Slashing Steel)
  • Exploding Heart Release Fist (ばくしんかいほうけん, Bakushin Kaihō-ken; Viz: Fist of Exploding Heart, Liberation)
  • Tiger Fang True Fist (れつしんけん, Koga Retsu Shin-ken; Viz: Fist of Tiger Fangs, Biting Truth)
  • Fire Dance Bullet Trail Fist (炎舞弾道拳, Enmai Dandō-ken) (Webcomic Only)
  • Purgatory Abyss Fist (くうきょしんえんけん, Kūkyo Shin'en-ken; Viz: Fist of Abyssal Emptiness)
  • Lake-Breaking Ice River Fist (かつひょうけん, Kogatsu Hyōga-ken; Viz: Fist That Parts Lakes and Glaciers)
  • Fool's Path Mountain Range Fist (どうさんみゃくけん, Gudō Sanmyaku-ken; Viz: Fist of Foolish Paths, Mountain Ranges)
  • Ultimate Fist of the Yatagarasu (がらすきょくけん, Yatagarasu Kyoku-ken; Viz: Ultimate Fist of the Three-Legged Crow)
  • Pressure Point Killer Fist (あつぱくめんさつけん, Appaku Mensatsu-ken; Viz: Killing Fist That Crushes Faces)
  • Poisonous Ogre Fist (くうどくけん, Kūki Midoku-ken; Viz: Fist of the Nonpoisonous Sky Demon)
  • Lone Fist of Prosperity (いんりゅうせいけん, Inko Ryūsei-ken; Viz: Fist of Lonely Prosperity)

Known Techniques[]

  • God Slayer Instant Attack (しんさつしゅんげき, Shinsatsu Shungeki; Viz: God Killer Swift Strike): Garou throws a volley of punches and different hand-strikes at the opponents.[15] In the original webcomic, this attack was enough to encourage Saitama to use Two-Handed Consecutive Normal Punches to counter it, instead of just Consecutive Normal Punches.[16]
  • God Slayer Ascending Attack (しんさつしょうげき, Shinsatsu Shōgeki; Viz: God Killer Rising Strike): Garou strikes his opponents extremely hard multiple times before sending them flying with his final blow.[15] When using this attack against Saitama, he is seen aiming for the hero's abdomen, starting with a straight punch and following with a knee.[15] In the original webcomic, when he used this technique, Garou delivered a powerful rising slash with one of his arms.[17]
  • Unnamed hand chop: Garou jumps downward with explosive force and hand chops the opponent's head. This move was first used by Garou to defeat Elder Centipede, bisecting the monster in half from head to tail.[18] Saitama copies this move and uses it on Garou on Io.[19]
