Puri-Puri Prisoner arrives to catch the unconscious form of Lightning Max after Max's defeat at the hands of Deep Sea King.[3] After a short conversation with Sonic, Puri-Puri Prisoner examines the battlefield and upon realizing that both Stinger and Lightning Max, two heroes who he had taken an interest in, were defeated by the Deep Sea King he states that he will never forgive him, and proceeds to power up to half strength, destroying his sweater in the process.[4] Devastated by the destruction of his sweater, a consequence he apparently blames on the Deep Sea King, Puri-Puri Prisoner becomes even more enraged. He is then hit with a heavy blow from the monster, but Puri-Puri Prisoner quickly retaliates with a blow of his own.[5]

Puri-Puri Prisoner's punch manages to dislocate Deep Sea King's jaw and he proceeds to knock him back with another blow. Puri-Puri Prisoner remarks that he barely felt the Sea King's punch, although Sonic notices that Prisoner is having trouble keeping his balance and Puri-Puri Prisoner himself states internally that the blow was way more powerful than he expected.[6] Determined not to lose, he resolves that his only choice is to go all-out and proceeds to transform into his Angel ☆ Style.[7]

Having powered up, Puri-Puri Prisoner states that nobody has ever seen him in Angel ☆ Style and lived to tell about it.[8] He then unleashes his special attack Angel ☆ Rush upon the Deep Sea King.[9] After realizing that his attack had no effect on Deep Sea King, Puri-Puri Prisoner is assaulted by the monster's vicious blows and, with one final kick, is effectively blown away from the fight.[10]

Puri-Puri Prisoner attends a meeting with Pig God, Superalloy Darkshine, Flashy Flash, Tatsumaki, Atomic Samurai, Child Emperor, Zombieman and Sekingar on invading the Monster Association and they reassure Narinki that they will rescue his son.[20] He receives a transmitter that tells him the location of his comrades. Puri-Puri Prisoner offers his opinion on the level of monsters he fought during the monster invasion and while most were weak, some were challenging. During the meeting, he asks the other heroes to leave the monsters in prisoner outfits to him as he wants to rehabilitate them back to humans. Kamikaze asks if he has a method to bring them back to being humans. Puri-Puri Prisoner responds that he will give them an Angel ☆ Hug followed by a deep kiss.[21] When Sweet Mask barges into the meeting and demands to take leadership of the S-Class heroes, Puri-Puri Prisoner is tempted into a master/slave relationship with Sweet Mask. Puri-Puri Prisoner leaves with various heroes to attack the Monster Association.[22]

Puri-Puri Prisoner arrives at the Z-City Ghost Town with various other heroes.[23] He protects his fellow comrades from debris with his Angel Pitter Patter. He kills some monsters from the initial monster attack.

Puri-Puri Prisoner enters the Monster Association HQ and battle some monsters.

Various monsters find that their attacks on Puri-Puri Prisoner have no effect regardless of their variety and are shocked, expressing their disbelief at the hero's durability. Puri-Puri Prisoner explains to them that embracing the pain with love allows him to take those hits. He dubs his power Angel ☆ Hug. Realizing their strength wouldn't be enough, the monsters flee only to be stopped by the Demon-level monster, Baquma, who inhales the fleeing monsters, absorbing their powers.[24]

Baquma then fires a variety of attacks at the hero but Puri-Puri Prisoner remains undeterred. The monster mocks him at his twitching but Puri-Puri Prisoner reveals that it was the creation of his new style of fighting, Vibration ☆ Angel. The hero completely smashes through Baquma and ends the monster's life.[24]

Soon after, Puri-Puri Prisoner hears the voices of the monsterfied inmates and expresses dismay at his inmates predicament. Believing the inmates to be forced to do the Monster Association's bidding, he vows to save them. The inmates attempt to explain their hatred to Puri-Puri Prisoner but he continually ignores it. Nyan then interjects and says that once a human becomes a monster, they will never turn back before slashing Puri-Puri Prisoner, severely injuring him, and leaving the rest to the inmates. Puri-Puri Prisoner stands strong, however, and declares that as long as the heart is human then they will always be human.[24]

Angel Bristle Armor

Puri-Puri Prisoner's new-found Angel ☆ Bristle Armor

Puri-Puri Prisoner discovers his body covered with hair which acts as a shield and dubs it, Angel ☆ Bristle Armor. Nyan, disturbed by Puri-Puri Prisoner's strange personality, decides to leave him to the other cadres and escapes through a narrow crack. Puri-Puri Prisoner gives chase after thinking up a new technique, Angel ☆ Crawl, but accidentally crushes his fellow inmates in debris, killing almost all of them. He loses his armored hair and accepts their sacrifice by avenging them, much to the annoyance of the remaining living disembodied head of one of the inmates.[24]

Puri-Puri Prisoner is left exasperated over Nyan running away and carries on his way.[25]

Puri-Puri Prisoner explores the base by swimming through the concrete walls and discovers a chained up unconscious Garou.[26] The hero goes to help him but hesitates when he recognizes Garou's face. Garou awakens and attacks the hero. Despite Puri-Puri Prisoner's Angel ☆ Bristle Armor, he suffers great damage at Garou's hands. He is quickly defeated by Garou afterward. Luckily, Darkshine finds him, and after hearing what happened, promises to avenge Puri-Puri Prisoner.

Puri-Puri Prisoner is later lifted out of the base by Tatsumaki's psychic bubble, and he wonders what the glow around his body is, deciding to refer to it as Angel Float. Tatsumaki then pulls him out of the side of the base, but inadvertently releases her bubble, causing him to fall on top of Atomic Samurai.

Ch137 PPP Tries to Help Darkshine

Puri-Puri Prisoner tries to encourage Darkshine to stand up again

After being told by Superalloy Darkshine that Garou defeated him, Puri-Puri Prisoner expresses shock that Darkshine was defeated in hand to hand combat. When Sweet Mask kicks Darkshine in anger, Puri-Puri Prisoner points out that he wasn't damaged at all by the barrage of kicks and states that he needs to get up and fight to protect himself. He then threatens to deep kiss Darkshine if he doesn't get up, which immediately motivates him into action. After the arrival of Tanktop Master, the heroes on the surface eventually decide to cooperate and devise a plan to defeat Psykos and Orochi.

Eventually, the plan is put in motion as Tanktop Master hurls a building containing Puri-Puri Prisoner, Atomic Samurai, and Darkshine at the fusion. After Atomic Samurai performs his attack, Puri-Puri Prisoner attacks the fusion with his Vibration Dark Angel Rush, causing it to roar in pain. The three heroes then land on the ground next to Bang and Bomb.

After Orochi's defeat, Puri-Puri Prisoner is present with Bang, Bomb and Fubuki when Genos falls from the sky in front of them and is dangerously overheating. As Genos reveals to them that Drive Knight has abandoned him and he will explode soon, Puri-Puri Prisoner leaves and tries to find Child Emperor in order to let him fix the cyborg's condition. However; right after he leaves, knowing that he will not make it in time, Fubuki has tried and managed to save Genos' life by suppressing the heat flow of his core and healing his organic parts with her telekinesis. Later, before Child Emperor suffocates due to lack of oxygen while trapped under a pile of rubble, Puri-Puri Prisoner manages to find and rescue him.

Later, Puri-Puri Prisoner and Child Emperor climb out of the debris and notice that King is present in front of them confronting several Monster Association executive members, much to their pleasure. He and some other heroes are informed by Child Emperor via his messenger bugs, about his plan of luring all the monsters into a straight line before King so that he can unleash his Ultimate Hellfire Burst Wavemotion Cannon and annihilate them all at once. Puri-Puri Prisoner, using his Angel ☆ Crawl, then rescues both Genos and Tatsumaki, moving them to safety, in order to let King freely release his attack.

Later in the fight against Garou, he is assigned the task to find Darky (Puri-Puri Prisoner's nickname for Superalloy Darkshine) after he lost his confidence and went into hiding. He eventually finds him, but is unable to get him back on his feet because he is still distraught. To prove he is worthy, Puri-Puri Prisoner lets out a full power punch on Darky to prove that he is strong enough. It left him unscathed and after a little bit more of talking, he gets Darky to get back on his feet and fight. They join Flashy-Flash and Saitama (who was not given the chance to fight until a little later) in the fight against Garou. Unfortunately, they weren't enough (not including Saitama) to beat the newly transformed Garou, even with the combined strength of all 3 S-Class heroes.

Neo Heroes Saga[]

Neo Heroes Uprising Arc[]

Puri-Puri Prisoner has become a sort of mentor to a group of prisoners who have been described as having the potential to help with hero activities. He attempts to motivate them before thinking to himself that they still have a long way to go. He later calls Darkshine, asking for assistance on what to say that will make the prisoners get into the right frame of mind to do battle. Darkshine replies that he cannot help with that, and explains that he has retired. Puri-Puri Prisoner doesn't accept it, he tells Darkshine that he will be waiting for him on the battlefield.

Puri-Puri Prisoner is next seen admiring the prisoners' defeat of Tentacle Muffler. He compliments the group, telling Hammerhead that he has the potential to become an A-Class hero, and the others that they are all at least B-Class level. The prisoners, however, aren't as excited. They insist that they are still just prisoners, and there is no way they would be accepted as heroes. Puri-Puri Prisoner still encourages them. After doing so he is confronted by Raiden and his group of Neo Heroes. Raiden demands that he hand over all the prisoners so they can be taken into custody of the Neo Heroes, an action seemingly encouraged by nearby citizens as well. Raiden continues, saying that they will cyborgify them. Puri-Puri Prisoner firmly denies, saying it is his duty to rehabilitate them. Raiden insists that he will need to take them by force.
